EVENT START TIME IS 1:25 pm.

Every application is either directly or indirectly written in a memory-unsafe language, making them susceptible to attack. This talk will discuss two approaches we have developed that aim to dramatically increase the security of applications by targeting their runtime system. The first, DieHarder, provides the highest practical degree of security from heap-based attacks and inspired security enhancements incorporated into Windows. The second, Stabilizer, further reduces the ability of attackers to launch attacks.
